This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Assist an Agile software development team in serving the Department of Transportation.
• Collect, analyze, document, and validate customer requirements and user stories throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Create requirements documentation, which includes process flows, use cases, acceptance criteria, and other related analysis artifacts.
• Organize peer reviews and validate requirements with customers and stakeholders.
• Secure customer sign-off or a documented agreement on requirements and user stories.
• Evaluate and process change requests, assessing their impacts on requirements, scope, schedule, and deliverables.
• Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the implementation using a requirements traceability matrix or a similar tool.
• Monitor and assist in managing project scope by identifying potential changes, gaps, and risks.
• Advise stakeholders on effective strategies for achieving project objectives.
• Collaborate with product owners, developers, technical teams, support teams, and subject matter experts to refine requirements and resolve conflicts.
• Aid in quality assurance and user acceptance testing by developing test scenarios, reviewing results, and tracking defects and issues.
• Assist in the analysis, design, implementation, testing, and rollout of application and process changes.
• Provide helpdesk support by analyzing, troubleshooting, documenting, and coordinating the resolution of application or process-related issues.
• Utilize Atlassian tools, including Jira, to manage requirements, user stories, tasks, defects, change requests, and project information.
• Support the transition from Microsoft 365 to Google Workspace and other technology modernization initiatives.
• Generate project documentation, status updates, and other deliverables.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, dependencies, and potential impacts to the Project Manager.
• Contribute to enhancing efficiency, quality, collaboration, and delivery execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in supporting software development, application systems, or technology transition projects.
• Experience in an Agile software development environment.
• Proven experience in eliciting, gathering, analyzing, documenting, and validating business and technical requirements.
• Experience in developing and managing user stories, acceptance criteria, process documentation, and related requirements artifacts.
• Skilled in coordinating requirements reviews and securing stakeholder agreement or sign-off.
• Experience in analyzing change requests and assessing impacts on scope, schedule, requirements, and deliverables.
• Proven ability to maintain requirements traceability throughout implementation.
• Experience in supporting application testing, implementation, troubleshooting, helpdesk support, or user acceptance testing.
• Proficient in using Jira and other Atlassian tools to manage requirements, user stories, tasks, defects, or project information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance in accordance with contract requirements.
• Willingness and ability to work during Eastern Time Zone hours.
• Preferred: Experience with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace environments, applications, and collaboration tools.
• Preferred: Experience with web development projects or web-based applications.
• Preferred: Experience supporting Department of Transportation systems or programs.
• Preferred: Experience in process modeling, change management, product backlogs, or application support.
• Preferred: Active Public Trust Clearance.
