Senior Business Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Identify, document, and propose solutions to business requirements for both new and existing platforms, considering technology, processes, and workflows.

• Exhibit competencies in Agile and SCRUM methodologies, emphasizing Product Ownership and Demand Management.

• Offer technical guidance and support to project team members throughout the development and testing phases of functional specifications.

• Assess clients' project goals and outline optimal solutions.

• Conduct data analysis utilizing source data systems and target staging tables; collaborate with Integration developers on design initiatives.

• Deliver products as agreed upon within specified timeframes while effectively managing scope and changes.

• Identify areas for process enhancements and provide technical solutions for future design and modifications.

• Ensure quality control through unit testing and thorough pre-hand-off testing of deliverables.

• Create documentation to train client users and facilitate a smooth transition to Production Support post go-live.

• Establish project tasks based on defined project objectives.

• Promote efficiencies and eliminate rework and workarounds.

• Contribute to the execution of the roadmap and lead multi-track project plans.

• Communicate updates to stakeholders and management while providing weekly progress reports.

• Identify avenues to improve IT processes and work with process owners to implement efficiencies.

• Collaborate with external or group-wide specialists for idea generation, requirements gathering, design, and delivery.

• Oversee Java, data modeling, and mapping activities.

• Have a solid understanding of the Product Development Lifecycle and SaaS delivery models.

• Perform light configuration tasks as needed.

• Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader on products and client functionalities, partnering with strategic client teams to address complex issues.

• Support the SmartKYC joint venture delivery for Private Banking and Wealth Management clients across Switzerland and broader Europe.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 7-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Fintech, consulting, or a related field.

• Preference for work experience either in-house or as a service provider to investment managers.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• A Graduate Degree is an advantage.

• Proficient in Excel and Data Analysis, including modeling, lookups, and macro development.

• Familiarity with investment management, portfolio accounting, financial market data, and performance calculations.

• Capability to manage stressful situations with resilience and professionalism.

• Business acumen combined with a strong technical background.

• Excellent communication and client presentation abilities.

• Experience as a Data or Research Analyst is desirable.

• Proficient in technical software specification writing and documentation.

• Outstanding time management and negotiation skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to follow-through.

• Demonstrated history of effective scope and change control.

• Knowledge in Private Banking / Wealth Management, particularly in Front Office Transformation, Compliance, and CRM / CLM / Onboarding.

• Proficiency in German or French is a plus.
