Staff Back-End Engineer – Claims Engine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and sustain services that facilitate benefit estimate requests and responses for 270/271.

• Create and support efficient, large-scale integrations for claims adjudication.

• Take ownership and enhance claims processing pipelines to ensure accuracy, reliability, and throughput.

• Produce and maintain documentation for API contracts, data flows, and integration specifications.

• Develop efficient queries and manage data utilizing PostgreSQL, Redis, and BigQuery.

• Work alongside product and engineering teams to convert intricate healthcare workflows into dependable backend services.

• Engage in code reviews, architectural discussions, and incident response activities.

• Participate in the on-call rotation for production systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in building, owning, and maintaining backend services.

• At least 2 years of experience programming in Go.

• Proficient SQL skills, especially with PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Redis and BigQuery (or similar analytical databases).

• Experience in designing and developing RESTful or gRPC APIs.

• Background in implementing thorough testing strategies.

• Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform.

• Must be willing to join the on-call rotation for production systems.

• Candidates must reside in the United States.
