This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Deliver legal representation, counsel, and referrals to qualified clients across various practice areas.
• Organize on-site legal clinics and manage client intakes.
• Participate in impact litigation, as well as administrative and legislative advocacy efforts.
• Support and supervise paralegals, interns, and volunteer attorneys.
• Generate periodic reports for both internal and external stakeholders.
• Offer legal consultations to clients.
• Recruit, train, and oversee volunteer attorneys.
• Collaborate with partner organizations to conduct training and outreach presentations.
• Design, implement, and document outreach and training initiatives.
• Must be licensed to practice law in Illinois.
• Exceptional skills in client interviewing.
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation abilities.
• Demonstrated capacity to compassionately and effectively explain complex legal issues to individuals in crisis.
• Proficient in clear and effective communication, both written and verbal, to diverse audiences.
• Strong prioritization skills.
• Experienced in project management.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
• Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
• Strong organizational skills with a proven attention to detail.
