This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Directly report to the CEO
• Oversee the compliance function, including the Group Paralegal and compliance staff integrated within CXM Group companies
• Develop and implement a comprehensive compliance reporting framework applicable to all regulated entities
• Establish a searchable, indexed, and cross-referenced AI-enabled legal document repository
• Define and operationalize internal legal service level agreements
• Monitor contract-review and contract-drafting productivity against 24-hour and 48-hour benchmarks
• Implement legal and compliance risk-monitoring tools across FX, CFDs, cryptocurrency, prediction markets, proprietary trading, and educational services
• Lead the acquisition of a South African broker-dealer and manage the VARA licensing program to meet specified milestones
• Obtain MiCA passporting for the cryptocurrency exchange in Norway
• Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities in LATAM and Southeast Asia
• Supervise group-wide legal and compliance communications as well as audit trails
• Assess brand, regulatory, and compliance risks across various business sectors and target markets
• Investigate legislation, regulatory guidance, and enforcement trends across different jurisdictions
• Develop and sustain compliance reporting infrastructure in collaboration with Operations and IT
• Inventory, organize, analyze, index, and manage legal agreements throughout the group
• Act as the main point of contact for regulators across all jurisdictions
• Prepare responses to regulatory inquiries and coordinate regulator visits and meetings
• Personally manage high-stakes, complex, or regulator-facing agreements
• Proven expertise in tier-one regulatory regimes: CySEC, FCA, NFA, and ASIC
• Familiarity with offshore and emerging market regulations, including those in UAE, Mauritius, Seychelles, SVG, and Cambodia
• Knowledge of MiCA and international cryptocurrency licensing frameworks
• Experience in direct regulator engagement, including managing inquiries, coordinating responses, and representing the group’s compliance stance
• Proficiency in M&A and licensing, including acquisition structuring and entity integration from a compliance viewpoint
• Capacity to assess regulatory risks and collaborate with external legal counsel
• Experience with the deployment of AI tools in legal processes is a significant advantage
• Ability to establish standards, effectively delegate responsibilities, and hold a team accountable for performance
• Experience working across multiple jurisdictions, asset classes, and regulated entities
• Ability to manage concurrent licensing processes and maintain active relationships with regulators
• Fully remote position; no need for relocation or commuting
• Occasional travel for meetings with regulators and visits to regional teams
