This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Transform high-level business challenges into functional AI solutions through comprehensive implementation.
• Design, develop, and sustain backend services and APIs that deploy and integrate AI-driven features.
• Create scalable, reliable, and maintainable backend architecture for AI workflows, automation, and data processing pipelines.
• Integrate AI services with microservices, AWS, and Snowflake data systems.
• Establish experimentation frameworks that facilitate rapid test-and-learn cycles and iterative deployment.
• Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and frontend engineers.
• Oversee the AI ecosystem, frameworks, and tools to inform implementation and technology adoption decisions.
• Document designs of backend systems, APIs, workflows, and integration patterns.
• Develop proof-of-concept solutions that address business challenges and opportunities.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Proven experience as a backend software engineer with strong programming capabilities.
• Proficiency in Python is preferred; experience with Ruby or Go is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop scalable backend systems, APIs, and distributed services.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and deployment pipelines.
• Comprehensive knowledge of foundational model providers, AI APIs, data pipelines, and orchestration frameworks.
• Practical experience integrating third-party AI services and managing complex dependencies in multi-stack environments.
• Capability to rapidly prototype and iteratively enhance solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
• Familiarity with AWS Bedrock, LangChain, vector databases, or similar AI orchestration technologies.
• Experience with automation, knowledge systems, and backend optimization related to AI-driven processes.
• Understanding of responsible AI principles, data privacy, and system reliability.
• Background in building APIs and backend components for real-time or near-real-time AI applications.
