Senior AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead NCT's evolution into an AI-centric platform.

• Personally design, develop, and validate the initial version of NCT’s AI-enabled capabilities.

• Create RAG systems, code generation, LLM orchestration, and multi-agent workflows.

• Review legacy code and produce production-ready services.

• Transform legacy components into scalable, cloud-native solutions.

• Substitute manual processes with AI-driven automation.

• Deploy features safely utilizing feature flags, shadow mode, and monitoring.

• Work within HIPAA and CJIS compliance standards.

• Serve as the primary technical partner to the CEO.

• Collaborate with Banyan’s centralized AI efforts.

• After establishing the AI factory framework, oversee and enhance the engineering team’s skills.

• Deliver an AI-assisted development model, initial AI functionalities, increased engineering delivery speed, and modernized cloud services within the first 3–6 months.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8+ years of practical experience in software engineering.

• Proven success in modernizing complex system architectures.

• Experience in implementing cloud-native/DevSecOps methodologies.

• Documented experience in delivering functional AI/ML systems from inception to deployment, including data pipelines, modeling, deployment, and monitoring.

• Experience as a founding or initial AI engineer, autonomously delivering baseline architecture.

• Exceptional judgment in build-versus-buy decisions and pragmatic refactoring.

• Strong commercial awareness and an exploratory mindset.

• Coachable with a clear sense of self-awareness.

• Must be based in the US.

• Must have full eligibility for government-adjacent/public-sector compliance work.

• Direct experience in GovTech, public sector, or federal case management software (preferred).

• Familiarity with Azure ML and Azure OpenAI integrations (preferred).

• Experience managing, coordinating, or collaborating with distributed/offshore engineering teams (preferred).
