Staff Applied AI Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop and release production-level AI agents for Future’s Health Coach initiative.

• Create tool-calling LLMs, structured outputs, parallel API orchestration, and streaming AI functionalities.

• Assist in coach matching and provide clinically informed guidance in areas such as sleep, nutrition, and fitness.

• Take ownership of the development cycle, from prototyping to Langfuse evaluations, deployment, trace monitoring, and iterations.

• Enhance reliability, latency, and cost-effectiveness through prompt caching, token budgets, retries, and improved observability.

• Develop agent tools and Pydantic-validated integrations within an EPD team.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4–10 years of relevant experience.

• Proven experience in deploying LLM agents to production.

• A robust background in large tech companies, preferably transitioning to startups or having founded a company.

• Proficiency in Python and asynchronous Python programming.

• Familiarity with LangChain/LangGraph.

• Experience with Pydantic.

• Knowledge of Langfuse.

• Experience with AWS/Bedrock.

• Ability to work independently in a beta-stage environment.

• Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder; visa sponsorship is not available.
