Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare and evaluate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

• Reconcile bank accounts along with general ledger accounts.

• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and current financial records.

• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Create journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

• Analyze financial data to identify trends and insights.

• Allocate costs to the correct companies, general ledger accounts, and cost centers.

• Guarantee precise allocation of expenses to designated projects or departments.

• Reconcile payroll allocations with general ledger accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• Over 2 years of experience in general ledger accounting.

• Basic understanding of GAAP and payroll regulations.

• Capability to investigate financial discrepancies, analyze GL variances, and resolve root-cause errors to maintain audit readiness.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite or QuickBooks.

• Advanced skills in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.

• Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management abilities.

• Exceptional attention to detail in a deadline-oriented environment.

• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while effectively collaborating with team members.
