Senior Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Oversee Accounts Payable functions, which include reviewing invoices, communicating with vendors, processing payments, handling accruals, managing prepaids, and performing reconciliations.

• Direct customer Billing and Accounts Receivable processes, encompassing the issuance of invoices, monitoring aging accounts, collections, and resolving payment discrepancies.

• Assist with Revenue Recognition while ensuring alignment between contracts, project activities, billing, and accounting records.

• Engage in monthly closing activities, perform account reconciliations, and execute journal entries.

• Handle multiple Finance requests simultaneously and respond to critical, time-sensitive issues.

• Discover opportunities to automate routine Finance tasks and leverage AI and automation tools to create efficient workflows.

• Design, enhance, and oversee internal controls within Finance operations.

• Question current processes and suggest practical enhancements.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in accounting.

• Extensive hands-on expertise in AP, AR, Billing, Revenue Recognition, and monthly closing processes.

• Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting controls.

• Capability to independently organize, prioritize, and handle multiple concurrent requests from various stakeholders.

• An ownership mentality, taking issues from identification to resolution.

• Practical experience with AI, automation, or technology to enhance Finance processes.

• A process-oriented mindset for identifying inefficiencies and executing solutions.

• Excellent analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Willingness to participate in calls scheduled in the PST timezone.

• Experience with Light and/or QuickBooks is preferred.

• Previous experience in building or implementing Finance automation workflows is preferred.

• A background in a technology, consulting, or high-growth company environment is preferred.
