Staff Accountant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Evaluate revenue and expense accounts and generate variance reports.

• Oversee financial reporting across all sectors of the organization.

• Assist in developing weekly forecasts and annual budgets.

• Gather, monitor, and assess financial data related to revenue, expenses, and strategic goals.

• Construct financial models to aid decision-making.

• Analyze outcomes, track variances, pinpoint trends, and suggest actions to management.

• Facilitate weekly Flash reports and the annual budgeting process.

• Assess actual results against plans and forecasts to determine financial standing.

• Provide insights into trends and forecasts.

• Create automated reporting and forecasting tools.

• Build and maintain relationships across various divisions.

• Utilize Oracle SmartView and Oracle Cloud EPM for financial reporting.

• Develop forecasts and models.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics.

• At least two (2) years of relevant experience.

• Strong analytical skills, both quantitative and qualitative, including model building.

• Capacity to streamline operations.

• Proven expertise in Microsoft Excel, encompassing advanced lookup functions (XLOOKUP, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH), conditional logic (IF, IFS, SUMIFS, COUNTIFS), and dynamic cell linking.

• Significant experience in financial modeling.

• Comprehensive knowledge of financial processes, systems, and controls.

• Responsible for documenting processes.

• Ability to prioritize tasks with minimal oversight while managing multiple projects.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Must reside in CO, FL, IL, MA, MN, OH, OK, PA, or TX.

• Must be willing to undergo and successfully complete a full pre-employment background check.

• Must be able to travel 10–25% to Denver.
