This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review and process vendor invoices through Coupa, ensuring proper coding, required documentation, and necessary approvals are acquired.
• Provide assistance with vendor setup and maintenance as required.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in invoices and address vendor inquiries.
• Ensure accurate and comprehensive accounts payable records and supporting documentation are maintained.
• Support month-end accounts payable closing activities, including reviewing outstanding invoices and accrued expenses.
• Prepare and execute weekly vendor payments through Coupa in line with established payment procedures and internal controls.
• Assist with cash activities and bank-related accounting tasks, including recording various cash receipts and disbursements.
• Prepare and process miscellaneous and routine general ledger journal entries with the necessary supporting documentation.
• Aid in the reconciliation of bank and cash accounts and investigate any reconciling items.
• Contribute to month-end and quarter-end closing activities.
• Undertake other accounting, compliance, and internal control-related tasks as required to support the company's financial reporting and growth objectives.
• Report directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Prior experience with Coupa is preferred.
• Previous experience with NetSuite is also preferred.
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience in the life sciences industry is preferred.
• Experience with accounting in a publicly traded company is required.
• Knowledge of SOX and internal control requirements is essential.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present numerical data.
• Strong time management abilities and follow-through skills are required.
• Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing competing priorities with minimal supervision.
• A professional, team-oriented, collaborative approach, and a “can-do” attitude are essential.
• Intermediate-to-advanced skills in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) are required.
