This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a precise and prompt month-end close by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheets across cash, prepaids, accruals, intercompany transactions, fixed assets, and various general ledger accounts.
• Manage close workflows, track tasks, and perform balance sheet reconciliations utilizing Numeric.
• Supervise corporate card transactions, employee expense reimbursements, and accounts payable processes using Ramp.
• Reconcile subscription billing, SaaS metrics, and payment gateway transactions within Maxio.
• Maintain records of equity transactions, stock-based compensation schedules, and capitalization table reports in Carta.
• Oversee the calculations for monthly variable compensation and ensure appropriate accounting treatment (ASC 340).
• Ensure that accounting records, policies, and operational processes comply with US GAAP while maintaining robust internal controls.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to gather transaction details, investigate reconciling items, and resolve operational discrepancies.
• Assist during the annual financial statement audit, tax filings, and meet external compliance obligations.
• Support ad-hoc financial reporting, system improvements, and special projects.
• Proficiency in AI concepts — a practical understanding of fundamental AI principles (LLMs, agents, copilots, tokens, credits, context windows, RAG, data governance, etc.) applied within the realms of accounting, financial operations, and workflow automation.
• Active CPA license (mandatory).
• Over 3 years of progressive experience in general ledger accounting, preferably in a dynamic technology or rapidly growing SaaS setting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
• Strong comprehension of US GAAP, month-end closing processes, and best practices for account reconciliation.
• Direct, hands-on experience with contemporary cloud ERP systems (NetSuite preferred).
• Experience working with modern financial and accounting tools (like Ramp for spend management, Numeric for close management, Maxio for SaaS billing/revenue, and Carta for equity administration) or similar platforms.
• Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• High attention to detail and the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Prior experience in public accounting (Big 4 or national firm) is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with technical accounting areas (e.g., ASC 606 revenue recognition, ASC 340 capitalized commissions, equity accounting) is advantageous.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• At least two years of valid U.S. work authorization.
• Active CPA license.
