This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Mexico.
• Act as the technical authority responsible for defining the construction, maintenance, and global scaling of EV clients’ physical infrastructure.
• Write, assess, and continually enhance technical specification sections across Divisions 01 to 48.
• Work in partnership with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, and civil engineers to ensure specifications align with architectural materials and spatial needs.
• Review design standards, identify gaps in specification sections, and create new standards as necessary.
• Research and evaluate products, finishes, and equipment based on durability, cost, sustainability goals, and compliance with building codes.
• Develop checklists and review tools for assessing construction document submissions from the Architect of Record.
• Manage and maintain the MasterSpec/SpecLink cloud database.
• Integrate lessons learned from construction and operations into master specifications.
• Comply with relevant SOX control responsibilities.
• 5–8+ years of experience in technical specifications writing, architectural production, or the delivery of A/E contract documents (or equivalent technical expertise).
• Capability to draft and edit specifications for architecture and engineering (MEP/Structural).
• Familiarity with CSI MasterFormat, UniFormat, and SectionFormat.
• Proficient in BSD SpecLink or MasterSpec.
• Experience in evaluating material data sheets, ASTM, ANSI, UL testing standards, and IBC, NFPA, ADA building codes.
• Exceptional technical writing and editing abilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Civil/Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent technical training/experience.
• Preferred: CCS, CDT, or CCCA credentials.
• Preferred: Active membership in SCIP or similar organizations.
• Preferred: Experience with large-scale rollout programs, industrial spaces, R&D labs, EV charging infrastructure, or technical prototyping facilities.
• Preferred: Knowledge of Revit model metadata and BIM-to-Spec workflows.
• Preferred: Understanding of LEED, WELL, and green material specifications.
