This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Formulate and execute call plans to maximize customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Assess customer needs, territory dynamics, competition, market segments, accounts, disease states, products, clinical information, and sales intelligence.
• Disseminate market intelligence to field teams, brand teams, and sales management.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel approximately 75% of the time and participate in scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated success in sales and strong presentation skills.
• Knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business insight and adept use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to work effectively in a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Ability to travel sufficiently to cover the territory, including overnight attendance at training events and sales meetings.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company vehicle, or powered material-handling equipment.
• Proficient in English, both verbally and in writing (for all non-English speaking countries).
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• May require background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
