This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and operational tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales targets, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Develop pre-call strategies utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections effectively and consistently prompt actions to finalize sales calls.
• Address customer requirements and foster trustworthy relationships to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and execute call plans that optimize coverage and frequency for key clientele.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical details, and sales.
• Disseminate market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and nurture disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Collaborate with specialty physicians, pharmacists, nurses, in-field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand-plan stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• In the absence of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred, and a high school diploma/GED is required.
• Demonstrated success in sales.
• Strong presentation abilities.
• Capability to adjust selling techniques to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Ability to identify innovative concepts and solutions to optimize business opportunities.
• Skill in influencing others and establishing credibility as a peer resource.
• Collaborative skills in a matrix environment.
• Documented leadership and support achievements at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain credentials.
• Extensive knowledge in scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive areas.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving criteria.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
