This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial targets, and marketing goals.
• Manage the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish robust customer relationships and enhance customer-needs-solving capabilities.
• Develop pre-call planning objectives and conduct post-call evaluations.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns while securing calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Attend to customer needs and expectations to foster trusted relationships and establish win-win agreements.
• Create and implement call plans aimed at meeting call metrics and optimizing coverage and frequency.
• Gain insights into customer needs, the market landscape of the territory, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field teams, brand teams, and sales management.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to the designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Comply with AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of experience, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Proven history of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Solid business acumen.
• Proficient in using business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust the selling approach accordingly.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain credentials.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
