This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement AbbVie brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs effectively.
• Develop pre-call planning objectives and perform post-call evaluations.
• Manage objections, concerns, and misunderstandings while securing calls to action.
• Address customer needs and expectations to cultivate trusted relationships and achieve mutually beneficial agreements.
• Formulate and implement call plans to maximize coverage and frequency for key customers.
• Acquire knowledge of customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with designated healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• Relevant and equivalent industry experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of 5 years of experience, including at least 3 years within the pharmaceutical/health/science industry is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Excellent business acumen.
• Proficient in using business tools.
• Possess strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adapt the selling approach accordingly.
• Capability to operate effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written, is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain necessary credentials.
• Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, immunization/vaccination verification, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licensing requirements as applicable.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
