This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Manage the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address client needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call strategies and conduct post-call assessments.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns during sales interactions.
• Secure logical calls to action and successfully close sales conversations.
• Attend to customer expectations and challenges to foster trustworthy relationships.
• Create and implement call plans that optimize contact frequency and coverage for key clients.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Share market insights with the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and sustain disease-state experts and advocates/speakers.
• Travel is required approximately 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; alternatively, relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree, a minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience is required, with at least three years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred.
• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust sales approaches accordingly.
• Capable of functioning effectively within a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscape.
• Proficiency in the English language is preferred for applicants from non-English-speaking countries.
• Must fulfill applicable HCIR credentialing requirements, which may include background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific licenses.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to obtain HCIR credentials.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test is required.
• Must adhere to safe driving standards.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment is essential.
