This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and target accounts.
• Foster customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans and carry out post-call evaluations.
• Address objections and secure calls to action during sales interactions.
• Attend to customer needs and cultivate trusted relationships.
• Create and implement call plans to maximize customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge about customer needs, territorial market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Communicate market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and maintain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector preferred, plus a high school diploma/GED as a substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated record of successful leadership.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen.
• Proficient in the use of business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and adjust sales approaches accordingly.
• Capable of functioning effectively in a matrix environment.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• English language proficiency preferred for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Willingness and ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
