This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans and carry out post-call assessments.
• Address objections and secure actionable commitments during sales interactions.
• Attend to customer needs while fostering trusted relationships.
• Formulate and execute call strategies to enhance customer coverage, frequency, access, and sales opportunities.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, market conditions, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical insights, and sales methodologies.
• Share market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Reside within a reasonable distance from Denton, TX, as this position is field-based.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a related business field preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience, including at least three (3) years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science industry, required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
• High school diploma/GED required if using the experience alternative.
• Demonstrated history of leadership success.
• Excellent presentation skills.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Capable of strategic and critical thinking.
• Proficient in identifying customer styles/behaviors and adapting sales approaches accordingly.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrixed environment.
• Preferred experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry, such as physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• In-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects is preferred.
• Proficiency in English is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements.
• Must be in good standing and/or eligible to acquire HCIR credentials.
• Background checks, drug screenings, proof of immunization/vaccination, and fingerprinting may be necessary.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must meet safe driving criteria.
