This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and encourage actions to finalize sales calls.
• Address customer requirements and cultivate trusted relationships.
• Create and execute call plans to enhance customer engagement and sales potential.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical data, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence with field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, nurture, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred; relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• At least 5 years of relevant and equivalent industry experience, with a minimum of 3 years in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors preferred, can substitute for a bachelor’s degree.
• A high school diploma/GED is required when experience is used in place of a bachelor’s degree.
• Capability to recognize customer styles and behaviors and adjust the selling approach accordingly.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive information.
• Strong business acumen and adeptness with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Proven track record in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities.
• Demonstrated sales success in relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, for non-English-speaking regions.
• Must meet the applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• A valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with safe driving standards.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car or truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
