This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Implement brand strategies and actions in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance both short- and long-term sales outcomes.
• Develop pre-call plan objectives and conduct post-call evaluations to boost sales performance.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns to facilitate sales call closures.
• Fulfill customer needs and expectations while fostering trusted relationships and securing mutually beneficial agreements.
• Create and implement call plans that meet call metrics and optimize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Share market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Differentiate AbbVie’s value proposition to the assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred.
• Relevant industry experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sectors is preferred.
• A high school diploma/GED is required if experience is used instead of a bachelor's degree.
• Capability to proactively recognize customer style/behavior and adjust the selling approach accordingly.
• Ability to devise sales strategies based on customer insights.
• Effectiveness in operating within a matrix environment.
• Innovative problem-solving skills and the ability to leverage business opportunities.
• Comprehensive knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Strong business acumen and proficiency with business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capacity to influence others and act as a credible role model/resource.
• Ability to forge collaborative partnerships with district colleagues and matrix teams.
• Documented success in leadership/support roles with increased responsibility at district, regional, and/or organizational levels.
• Proven sales success in relevant therapeutic areas is preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Proficiency in the English language, both spoken and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain them.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving criteria.
• Capability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
