This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Gabon.
• Implement brand strategies and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the designated territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships and enhance customer-needs-solving capabilities.
• Establish objectives for pre-call planning and carry out post-call evaluations.
• Address objections, misunderstandings, and concerns, securing calls to action to finalize sales calls.
• Fulfill customer needs and expectations while fostering trusted relationships.
• Design and implement call plans to maximize coverage and frequency for key clients.
• Gain insights into customer needs, market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Communicate market intelligence with in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• A Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience is required.
• If lacking a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five (5) years of relevant industry experience is necessary, including three (3) or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of successful leadership.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Robust business acumen.
• Proficiency in business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capability to recognize customer style/behavior and adjust sales approach accordingly.
• Ability to function effectively within a matrix environment.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive aspects.
• Proficiency in English, both verbally and in writing, is preferred for non-English-speaking countries.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and meet safe driving standards.
• Ability to operate a personal vehicle, company car/truck, or powered material-handling equipment.
