This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Implement the brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Establish strong customer relationships and address customer needs.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and conduct evaluations after calls.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings to successfully close sales calls.
• Formulate and execute call plans to enhance customer coverage and sales opportunities.
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory market landscape, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to the in-field team, brand team, and sales manager.
• Highlight AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned health providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and relevant laws and regulations.
• A bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• If a bachelor’s degree is not held: a minimum of five years in the industry, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Proactively recognizes customer styles and behaviors, adjusting the selling approach accordingly.
• Functions effectively within a matrix environment.
• Demonstrated success in sales with strong presentation skills.
• Brings innovative ideas and solutions to maximize business opportunities.
• Possesses in-depth scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Exhibits strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Demonstrates strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Collaborates effectively with district colleagues and the matrix team.
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
• Holds a valid driver’s license.
• Capable of passing a pre-employment drug screening test and meeting safe driving standards.
• Willing to travel as needed to cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings.
• Must meet all applicable healthcare industry representative (HCIR) credentialing requirements and be in good standing or eligible to obtain these credentials.
• May require background checks, drug screens, proof of immunization/vaccination, fingerprinting, and specific state or city licenses.
