This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Foster strong customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial objectives, and marketing goals.
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Manage objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales discussions.
• Address customer expectations and needs to nurture trusted relationships and reach mutually beneficial agreements.
• Formulate and implement call plans that maximize customer coverage and frequency.
• Acquire knowledge regarding customer requirements, territory market dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales expertise.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to assigned healthcare providers.
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain relationships with disease-state experts, speakers, and advocates.
• Adhere to AbbVie’s business code of conduct, policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
• Cover the Chattanooga, Cleveland, Dalton, Canton, and Rome territory.
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
• Relevant equivalent industry experience in place of a bachelor’s degree: a minimum of five years of experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science industry preferred.
• High school diploma/GED required if using equivalent industry experience instead of a bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrated success in sales and strong presentation skills.
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business acumen and proficient use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking abilities.
• Capability to operate effectively in a matrix environment.
• Documented success in leadership and supportive roles with increasing responsibility.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving criteria.
• Willingness to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight training events and sales meetings.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing and/or eligibility for credentials.
• Ability to adjust selling approaches to align with customer styles and behaviors.
• Preferred experience in the pharmaceutical commercial industry, including physician/account-based selling, training, managed healthcare, or marketing.
• Preferred proven sales performance within relevant therapeutic areas.
