This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Implement brand strategy and field initiatives
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing aims
• Oversee the designated territory and target accounts
• Foster robust customer relationships and address customer needs to enhance sales performance
• Develop pre-call strategies using SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments
• Address objections, misconceptions, and concerns while securing calls to action during sales interactions
• Meet customer needs and expectations to establish trusted relationships and facilitate win-win agreements
• Create and implement call plans that optimize customer engagement and frequency
• Gain insights into customer needs, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical knowledge, and sales expertise
• Communicate market intelligence with the field team, brand team, and sales manager
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition to healthcare providers
• Identify, cultivate, and sustain disease-state experts and speakers/advocates
• Cover the territory including Trenton, Hamilton, Camden, Cinnaminson, Northeast Philadelphia, Bensalem, Langhorne, Abington, and Ambler
• Bachelor’s degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant equivalent industry experience
• A minimum of five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience may replace a bachelor’s degree
• Preferred three or more years of pharmaceutical/health/science industry experience
• High school diploma/GED required if utilizing experience in place of a bachelor’s degree
• Demonstrated history of success in sales
• Excellent presentation skills
• Comprehensive scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge
• Strong business insight and proficient use of business tools
• Strategic and analytical thinking abilities
• Capacity to operate effectively within a matrix environment
• Documented success in leadership and support roles with increasing responsibilities
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and comply with safe driving standards
• Willingness to travel adequately to cover the territory, including overnight attendance at scheduled training events and sales meetings
• Proficiency in English, both verbal and written
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them
• Flexibility to adapt selling approach according to customer style and behavior
• Capability to develop sales strategies based on findings and market intelligence
