This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama.
• Implement brand strategies and field initiatives.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts.
• Cultivate customer relationships and address their needs to enhance sales performance.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call plans utilizing SMART objectives and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections, concerns, and misunderstandings, and secure calls to action during sales engagements.
• Attend to customer needs and foster trusted relationships with clients.
• Design and execute call plans to maximize customer engagement and sales opportunities.
• Gain knowledge of customer requirements, territory dynamics, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales methodologies.
• Communicate market insights to field, brand, and sales teams.
• Highlight AbbVie's value proposition to healthcare providers.
• Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and advocates.
• Collaborate with field team members, sales management, marketing, training, customer excellence, and brand stakeholders.
• Travel approximately 25% of the time.
• Bachelor's degree in health, sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related field is preferred, or relevant and equivalent industry experience is required.
• In the absence of a bachelor's degree: at least five years of relevant and equivalent industry experience, including three or more years in the pharmaceutical/health/science sector is preferred, along with a high school diploma/GED.
• Demonstrated history of success in sales.
• Strong presentation skills.
• Ability to recognize customer styles/behaviors and tailor selling approaches accordingly.
• Capacity to generate innovative ideas and solutions.
• Ability to influence others and serve as a credible source of information.
• Skill in building collaborative partnerships.
• Documented achievements in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities.
• Understanding of data to formulate sales strategies.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbally and in writing.
• Must meet applicable healthcare industry representative credentialing standards and be in good standing or eligible to acquire credentials.
• Proven in-depth knowledge of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive landscapes.
• Strong business acumen and adept use of business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to function effectively in a matrix environment.
• Valid driver's license.
• Capability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test.
• Must comply with safe driving requirements.
