This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Implement AbbVie’s brand strategy and tactics in the field.
• Achieve sales performance, brand KPIs, financial goals, and marketing objectives.
• Develop pre-call strategies and perform post-call assessments.
• Address objections and secure calls to action to finalize sales discussions.
• Attend to customer needs and cultivate trusted relationships with clients.
• Formulate and execute call plans to fulfill call metrics and enhance customer engagement and sales prospects.
• Acquire knowledge of customer requirements, market landscape of the territory, competitors, market segments, accounts, diseases, products, clinical information, and sales proficiency.
• Relay market intelligence to in-field, brand, and sales management teams.
• Distinguish AbbVie’s value proposition with healthcare professionals.
• Identify, nurture, and maintain relationships with disease-state experts and speakers/advocates.
• Oversee the assigned territory and targeted accounts in Los Angeles, Bakersfield, Santa Barbara, and Honolulu.
• Travel roughly 25% of the time.
• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, pharmacy, or a business-related discipline preferred, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• A minimum of five years of experience required in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, including three or more years preferred in the pharmaceutical, health, or science sectors.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Comprehensive understanding of scientific, therapeutic, product, and competitive knowledge.
• Strong business insight and adeptness in utilizing business tools.
• Strategic and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to tailor selling techniques to different customer styles and behaviors.
• Capability to devise sales strategies and innovative business solutions.
• Effectiveness in operating within a matrix environment.
• Experience in leadership and peer coaching.
• Proven success in leadership and support roles with increased responsibilities.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening test and meet safe driving standards.
• Adequate travel capacity to cover the territory and attend overnight training sessions and sales meetings.
• Demonstrated sales success within relevant therapeutic areas preferred.
• Experience in the commercial pharmaceutical industry preferred.
• Proficiency in the English language, both verbal and written.
• Must meet applicable HCIR credentialing requirements and maintain good standing or be eligible to obtain them.
