This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Serve as the representative for UPLIZNA to physicians and healthcare professionals.
• Establish sales for the product and manage all accounts within the designated territory.
• Provide support for account management in the assigned geographical area.
• Function as the central account manager, driving product demand and coordinating with relevant field teams.
• Develop and implement a territory business plan aimed at meeting or surpassing annual sales targets.
• Promote UPLIZNA in accordance with approved labeling and adhere to legal and regulatory guidelines.
• Address access, pull-through, and reimbursement challenges with key stakeholders and matrix team members.
• Cultivate customer relationships and relay customer needs and objectives to internal teams.
• Achieve or exceed corporate sales targets.
• Accurately and promptly communicate territory activities.
• Stimulate product demand through education on disease states and the product.
• Collaborate with patient services and market access teams.
• Facilitate coordination between accounts and Amgen field teams to meet account requirements.
• Educate healthcare professionals and office staff regarding site-of-care options.
• Attend medical congresses and society meetings as required.
• Manage initiatives within the assigned promotional and operational budgets.
• Optimize approved resources to achieve territory and account objectives.
• Complete company training and fulfill administrative responsibilities.
• Contribute to a high-performance team and undertake additional assigned tasks.
• Bachelor's degree with 3 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry or hospital sales experience; OR an associate degree with 6 years of such sales experience; OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of such sales experience.
• For Specialty Account Manager – Level 5: Doctorate degree with 2 years of combined account management, sales, and commercial experience; OR a master’s degree with 6 years; OR a bachelor’s degree with 8 years; OR an associate degree with 10 years.
• Proven success in reimbursement navigation, site of care education, and/or patient access coordination.
• Experience in promoting products requiring collaboration with office staff, infusion centers, and patient services teams.
• Capability to build strong customer relationships, educate on complex disease states, and adapt communication for varied audiences.
• Buy-and-bill experience and/or biologic/infusion experience is highly preferred.
• Sales experience in Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Hematology, Neurology, and/or rare/specialty disease states is preferred.
• Experience in site of care and reimbursement is strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with working alongside institutions and integrated delivery networks is preferred.
• Essential experience in pharma account management sales.
• Willingness to travel approximately 80%, which may include overnight and weekend commitments.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
