This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.
• Represent Amgen products to healthcare professionals and physicians.
• Manage sales and oversee total territory account management.
• Provide education and information about diseases to medical professionals and external customers involved in patient care.
• Meet assigned sales targets by delivering patient-centered education on diseases and products, while complying with regulations.
• Execute marketing plan objectives through strategic business plans for accounts.
• Collaborate within a matrix environment alongside Case Managers, Medical Affairs, Patient Access, and other stakeholders.
• Leverage peer-to-peer education and cross-functional resources to fill knowledge gaps.
• Navigate the healthcare landscape to identify opportunities in academic institutions, IDNs, accountable care organizations, private practices, and community hospitals.
• Build business relationships with local, regional, and national Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of disease, therapy, clinical aspects, and scientific developments.
• Employ a consultative, highly technical, solution-oriented approach in selling to healthcare professionals treating IgG4-RD patients.
• Comply with corporate policies and regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements.
• A Bachelor's Degree with 3 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical device industry, or hospital sales experience; OR an Associate degree with 6 years of such sales experience; OR a high school diploma/GED with 8 years of related sales experience.
• A Doctorate degree with 2 years of combined account management experience, sales, and commercial experience; OR a Master's degree with 6 years; OR a Bachelor's degree with 8 years; OR an Associate degree with 10 years.
• Preferred: 7+ years of experience in biotech, specialty pharmaceutical, or rare disease sales.
• Preferred: 3+ years of experience in rare disease/orphan drug, immunology/rheumatology, or similar fields.
• Preferred: At least 3 years of experience in sales related to in-office injection/infusion.
• Preferred: Experience in a matrix sales environment.
• Preferred: Experience in market development and deep profiling in rare, unmet spaces.
• Preferred: Experience in educating healthcare professionals about complex diseases.
• Proven track record of outstanding performance.
• Capability to work independently in a fast-paced and challenging setting.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and computer skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Professional and proactive demeanor.
• Strong interpersonal abilities.
• Willingness to travel approximately 20–30%, including occasional overnight and weekend commitments.
