This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Japan.
• Establish trusted relationships with Global R&D and other relevant business stakeholders to comprehend their challenges, needs, and priorities.
• Suggest, implement, and facilitate the adoption of IT and digital solutions to meet business objectives and generate value.
• Coordinate priorities, expectations, and solution strategies between business and IT sectors.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and tracking of assigned IT projects and initiatives.
• Identify and address project issues and risks while implementing suitable mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure the success of projects.
• Promote stable operations and continuous enhancements of the assigned systems and applications.
• Communicate project status, risks, issues, and system-change information to stakeholders.
• Work alongside global and regional IT teams to support the execution of IT strategies and initiatives.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience in the field.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in IT or digital-related domains.
• Extensive foundational knowledge of business systems and IT operations.
• Familiarity with IT service management, project management, or IT governance.
• Knowledge of frameworks such as ITIL, PMBOK, COBIT, Agile, or similar is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capability to think independently and take proactive measures in a dynamic environment.
• Proficiency in both Japanese and English; business-level proficiency is preferred.
• A continuous learning attitude and eagerness to gain new technology and business insights.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or other regulated sectors is preferred.
• Understanding of R&D business processes and the corresponding IT systems is advantageous.
• Familiarity with GxP regulations, CSV, and compliance standards in regulated settings is desirable.
• Proven experience in collaborating with cross-functional and multinational teams.
