Special Education Teacher

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Deliver virtual special education services within the public school system.

• Instruct core subjects as defined by the Utah State Board of Education’s Core Standards.

• Align core subjects with approved learning activities customized to meet each student's unique needs.

• Develop and implement lesson plans.

• Modify curriculum to cater to individual student requirements.

• Record and monitor student progress towards set objectives and IEP goals.

• Adhere to Utah Effective Teaching Standards.

• Implement all components of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) accurately.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.

• Valid Utah teacher’s license for Special Education.

• Experience working with children in a special education environment.

• School-based experience is preferred.

• Willingness and capability to prepare and implement lesson plans.

• Ability to tailor curriculum to address students’ needs.

• Competence in tracking student progress in relation to IEP goals.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Strong organizational abilities.
