This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure that knowledge is accessible to all students while enhancing their cognitive abilities and fostering a respect for learning.
• Implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) tailored to student needs.
• Promote students’ self-esteem, motivation, civic engagement, and leadership skills.
• Provide instruction in a designated subject area employing suitable techniques, strategies, methods, curricula, and learning styles.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding academic and disciplinary matters through various channels such as phone calls, text messages, webinars, emails, progress reports, and other media.
• Develop, assess, modify, and execute ILPs based on student evaluations and requirements.
• Ensure that ASU Prep Digital complies with the Arizona Department of Education’s guidelines for instructional hours.
• Collaborate with colleagues to fulfill the overall objectives of the school program.
• Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning.
• Conduct weekly live lessons in a webinar format for a specific grade level.
• Provide grading and personalized, constructive feedback for all student assignments.
• Facilitate both learning and a sense of community within a digital setting.
• Ensure the availability of necessary devices, internet access, materials, supplies, and equipment for daily operations.
• Commit to ongoing professional development.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a Post-Bachelor’s degree in Education from an accredited institution, or meet Highly Qualified standards as per the Arizona Department of Education.
• A State Aligned Teaching Certificate is required, with appropriate endorsements based on the instructional area, or successful completion of relevant AEPA or NES proficiency examinations.
• An Arizona State Teaching Certificate is preferred.
• Professional verification of successful performance as a classroom teacher and/or student teaching experience is required.
• An active Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card is mandatory.
• Equivalent combinations of experience, training, and/or education may be accepted.
• Capability to utilize instructional adaptive technology tools in online courses.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proficient in using Canvas, Zoom, Google Suites, and other computer technologies.
• Understanding of human behavior and learning principles, including motivation, reinforcement, evaluation, and feedback techniques.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Strong organizational and planning competencies.
• Effective problem-solving skills and a commitment to self-motivated learning.
• Ability to take initiative and maintain a professional demeanor.
• Must have the necessary devices, internet access, materials, supplies, and equipment to perform daily tasks.
• Capacity to meet the physical demands of the position, which include frequent standing and talking/hearing, occasional walking and sitting, data entry, material handling, and the ability to occasionally lift or push up to 15 lbs.
• This position is not eligible for benefits.
• Occasional travel may be necessary for site visits, meetings, training sessions, and/or conferences; locations may vary and may require overnight stays.
