Sourcing Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Formulate and implement sourcing strategies that enhance total cost, quality, and risk management across Zillow’s spending categories

• Act as the primary owner of sourcing tools and processes that are enabled through sourcing

• Oversee competitive events, contract renewals, and new sourcing requests

• Perform market and supplier analyses

• Direct competitive sourcing events

• Negotiate contracts, commercial terms, service levels, and pricing agreements with suppliers

• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Risk, Technology, and Business stakeholders

• Aid in the development of category strategies, sourcing playbooks, and standardized tools

• Keep sourcing documentation, contract records, and savings tracking up to date

• Collect Source-to-Pay tool requirements, configure workflows, and lead system enhancements

• Promote the utilization of supplier segmentation and categorization frameworks

• Outline processes and implement workflow enhancements that support digital transformation and efficiency

• Utilize Agile and Lean methodologies in sourcing, tooling, and process improvement projects

• Guide strategic sourcing initiatives from opportunity identification to supplier selection and award

• Examine spend, demand, and market data to uncover sourcing opportunities and shape category strategies

• Develop and carry out RFx events, including requirements gathering, evaluation criteria, and bid analysis

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field

• Over 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain management

• Proven experience leading end-to-end sourcing events (RFPs, competitive bids) and achieving measurable cost or value enhancements

• Background in analyzing spend or market data to guide sourcing strategies and supplier selection

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure sourcing initiatives align with business needs

• Skilled in managing supplier performance and resolving issues across various categories

• Strong analytical abilities focused on total cost of ownership, with the capability to influence stakeholders and communicate intricate concepts clearly

• Preferred experience with process improvement methods (Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, Kaizen, or Design Thinking) and managing sourcing or procure-to-pay platforms

• Alternatively, an equivalent combination of education and experience
