Sonic Audit Specialist, French

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Audit AI training data in French instead of generating it.

• Conduct Multilingual Transcription Audits by listening to audio recordings and reviewing annotator transcriptions.

• Utilize error codes, determine pass or fail outcomes, and provide concise rationales.

• Execute Forced Alignment Audits by confirming word-level segment timestamps and reference transcriptions.

• Amend incorrect boundaries, divide or combine segments, insert missing segments, and eliminate segments that lack words.

• Apply all relevant error codes and clarify the reasons for each task's pass or fail status.

• Prioritize critical errors in failure rationales.

• Complete a brief calibration phase prior to commencing production work.

• Participate in Amazon Sonic audit collections that support AI training and enhancement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Native or near-native proficiency in French as spoken in France.

• Born and raised in a region where this variety of French is predominant, or fluent with five or more years of residency in such a region.

• Strong reading and writing skills in English.

• Capability to comprehend a detailed rulebook and compose clear feedback in English.

• Disciplined application of written rubrics across numerous judgments.

• Attentive listening skills and the ability to differentiate similar sounds.

• Competence in identifying word boundaries in continuous speech.

• Ability to differentiate genuine acoustic ambiguity from evident annotator errors.

• Previous experience in transcription, subtitling, localization, linguistic annotation, or QA is highly advantageous.

• Not mandatory but beneficial: previous experience in AI data annotation or model evaluation.

• Not mandatory but beneficial: background in phonetics or linguistics.

• Not mandatory but beneficial: experience with audio editing or waveform tools.

• Independent contractor engagement.
