This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland, +1 more state.
• Market and sell fire alarm systems, fire protection solutions, and related products.
• Meet and exceed targets for orders/booking, gross margin, and annual quotas.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities with contractors and end-users.
• Expand business through new construction projects, renovations, and retrofits within the designated territory.
• Capture new market share by introducing products and services to prospective customers.
• Engage in prospecting, qualifying, and following up on sales opportunities.
• Foster customer relationships utilizing a consultative selling approach.
• Conduct follow-up after installation to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Perform needs assessments and create sales proposals, estimates, specifications, and presentations.
• Provide precise forecasts regarding activities and potential sales outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of products, services, and customer requirements.
• Present approved marketing materials while articulating the company’s value proposition.
• Develop call plans and strategies for customer follow-up.
• Implement effective time and territory management practices.
• Influence specifications for new constructions through engineering relationships and educational sessions.
• Collaborate with operations, finance, legal, and other departments to secure sales.
• Formulate and execute strategic sales initiatives targeting end users, developers, consulting engineers, and contractors.
• Design sales promotion campaigns aimed at commercial markets.
• Maintain and regularly update the company's CRM database.
• Two to five years of experience in meeting or surpassing sales quotas for fire alarm systems to contractors and end-users.
• Proven track record of sales performance and the ability to grow business organically by providing solutions to a new client base.
• Comprehensive understanding of fire alarm life safety systems, low voltage systems, installation, and testing procedures.
• Minimum NICET Level II certification in fire alarm systems required.
• Technical proficiency with the ability to interpret drawings and codes.
• Experience in selling technical solutions through the contracting sector.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present to diverse audiences.
• Excellent negotiation skills and a competitive mindset.
• Willingness to travel by air and/or ground overnight, as needed.
• Bachelor's degree is preferred.
