This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom, +1 more country.
• Assist customers in comprehending the ways in which IP, networking, and emerging technologies can enhance production and delivery environments.
• Provide guidance to clients on contemporary media technologies, including SMPTE ST 2110, PTP/SMPTE ST 2059, multicast, QoS, IP media transport, UHD, resilient media architectures, data center and cloud infrastructure, as well as automation and AI infrastructure.
• Spearhead technical engagements from the initial discovery phase through architecture, workshops, and proof-of-concepts.
• Aid customers in identifying which technologies to implement and their associated business and production-environment advantages.
• Collaborate with Cisco Account Executives to formulate customer strategies, identify opportunities, and cultivate long-term relationships with both technical and executive partners.
• Act as Cisco's representative at significant industry events such as IBC, NAB, and Cisco Live.
• Partner with Cisco engineering, Business Units, standards organizations, and ecosystem partners to shape the future trajectory of media technology.
• Over 5 years of experience in Broadcast, Media & Entertainment, Live Production, Media Systems, Networking, or a similar technical field.
• Deep practical knowledge of broadcast and media workflows, particularly in video and/or audio.
• Experience with modern IP-based media setups, or a robust understanding of the shift from SDI to IP.
• Familiarity with technologies utilized in contemporary IP broadcast environments, such as SMPTE ST 2110, PTP/ST 2059, NMOS, multicast, QoS, or IP media transport.
• Proven experience in designing, troubleshooting, or deploying intricate technical environments where reliability, resilience, and real-time performance are essential.
• Proficient in engaging with engineers and technical teams, and in articulating complex technologies clearly.
• Experience collaborating directly with customers, technology partners, or system integrators.
• A degree or equivalent experience in Broadcast Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
• Background in broadcast video and/or audio systems (preferred).
• Experience working for or with a Broadcast System Integrator (preferred).
• Established relationships within the Media & Entertainment technology ecosystem (preferred).
• Knowledge of IP networking or data center technologies (preferred).
• Experience in customer-facing technical or consulting roles (preferred).
• Cisco, CCNP, CCIE, or other relevant certifications are beneficial but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with cloud, automation, or AI infrastructure is a plus.
