Personal Lines Risk Solutions Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Conduct on-site inspections of policyholder homes to assess risk and suggest services and solutions to mitigate that risk.

• Advise policyholders on proactive home maintenance, disaster preparedness, security measures, and loss mitigation strategies.

• Recognize opportunities to cross-sell additional coverages such as Marine and Auto insurance.

• Engage in innovation pilot programs alongside the Personal Lines Product team.

• Assist in generating risk management content for the Personal Lines Marketing team.

• Collaborate with Underwriting, Risk Solutions home office technical and field teams, as well as Personal Lines Product, Claims, and Marketing departments.

• Participate in association and industry relations efforts, including attending meetings and conferences to represent the company.

• Provide risk solutions support for Hanover’s Personal Lines division, particularly for Prestige clients.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in Risk Solutions/Loss Control within a personal lines national or regional insurance carrier.

• Self-motivated individual with a proven track record of initiative and the ability to work independently.

• Strong understanding of building construction, homeowner, and marine insurance coverages, including underwriting and claims processes.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Skillful in numerical and/or financial assessment of business performance.

• Capacity to manage multiple projects, tasks, or assignments in a dynamic environment.

• Results-driven mindset.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Proficient in using personal computers and standard office equipment.

• Capability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Regular travel required within Connecticut and Massachusetts.

• Ability to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods.

• Willingness to have flexible working hours to accommodate homeowner schedules.
