Solutions Engineer, Life Sciences

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Engage thoroughly with customers to comprehend their technical challenges, workflows, limitations, and pain points.

• Design and execute hands-on proof-of-concept projects customized for customer environments, which include drug discovery model development, clinical analytics pipelines, regulatory submission workflows, and omics data processing.

• Collaborate with account executives to create architectures that meet life sciences requirements for data governance, reproducibility, and validation, including compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 and GxP environments.

• Discover innovative use cases within life sciences customers and identify opportunities that extend beyond the initial engagement scope.

• Develop and sustain reusable technical environments and assets for future customer interactions.

• Partner with Customer Success and Solutions Architects to ensure customers completing POCs are prepared for successful production deployment.

• Construct custom prototypes and applications on Domino using AI-assisted coding tools to showcase customer value beyond standard demonstrations.

• Assist in transforming successful technical engagements into production deployments.

⛳️ Requirements

• A technical background in life sciences or a general technology/solutions environment.

• Experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, CRO, genomics, medical device, technology, or software settings performing code-first analytical, scientific, or technical work.

• Proficient understanding of at least one life sciences domain: drug discovery, clinical development, computational biology, manufacturing/QC, or regulatory data management.

• Experience in platform or tooling ownership; ideally having developed, operated, or significantly contributed to an internal platform or shared scientific computing environment.

• Previous experience in a solutions engineering, pre-sales, or customer-facing technical role, or equivalent internal/consulting work diagnosing technical issues and assisting others in resolving them.

• Experience in leading or contributing to technical evaluations, pilots, or proof-of-concepts.

• Coding experience in production or near-production environments addressing real scientific or operational challenges.

• Proficiency in Python and/or R.

• Hands-on experience with data science and machine learning tools applicable to life sciences technical work.

• Familiarity with the processes of model development, validation, and transition to production within a regulated context is a plus.
