This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Act as a technical sales expert representing the Cisco brand to customers and partners.
• Deliver technical solutions that meet the business requirements of customers and partners.
• Work collaboratively with the iAE, Mid-Market, and corresponding Architecture iAEs on customer strategies.
• Position yourself as a knowledgeable and trusted technical advisor to the account team and clients/partners.
• Exhibit a deep understanding of Cisco’s product offerings and specialized architectural perspectives.
• Enhance market penetration through cross-selling, up-selling, and overcoming competitor challenges.
• Manage the technical relationship with clients and partners effectively.
• Facilitate discussions with IT decision-makers and business units.
• Convert customer and partner requirements into technical specifications.
• Dedicate most of your selling time to securing opportunities and expanding within existing accounts.
• Engage in strategic planning for the territory.
• Provide feedback to sales teams regarding customer needs, market potential, and competitive strategies.
• Navigate deals through the technical sales pipeline.
• Create and present solutions tailored to both technical and business needs.
• Oversee a virtual support team of sales resources.
• Utilize tools and resources to facilitate deal support.
• Drive technical closures and boost revenues by converting opportunities into deals.
• Displace competitors, grow market share, and acquire new customers on a quarterly basis.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in B2B sales within a similar or related industry.
• Proven career advancement and a desire for ongoing professional development.
• Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities within the territory team.
• Exceptional relationship management skills to foster trust and achieve results with partners and customers.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in physical sciences, engineering, economics, or mathematics.
• Demonstrated sales success, such as consistent quota attainment or year-over-year growth in the target market.
• Capability to assist Account Executives in identifying new opportunities and expanding business.
• Skill in translating customer business needs into technical specifications.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the market, competitors, solutions, technologies, and offerings.
• Preferred certifications include CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or similar vendor credentials.
• Prior pre-sales experience is preferred.
• Ability to provide support in the Central US region.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; relocation is not provided.
