Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Acquire comprehensive knowledge of Snyk's platform and conduct technical demonstrations for potential clients and existing customers.

• Assist with the technical facets of the sales process, encompassing demonstrations, proof of concepts, and inquiries regarding the product.

• Inform customers and partners about security in open source and cloud-native environments.

• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customer success teams to communicate customer insights and aid in developing solutions for well-defined accounts.

• Share insights from customer discussions with the wider Solutions Engineering team.

• Collaborate with channel partners on demonstrations and proof of concepts.

• Record outcomes from proof of concepts and note common objections encountered.

• Manage increasingly complex accounts and technical scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales engineering, software development, or a similar technical customer-facing position, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Proficiency in various coding languages and understanding their interconnections.

• A solid grasp of developer and DevOps ecosystems and practices.

• A strong curiosity about emerging technologies and a tendency to explore how they function.

• Ability to establish personal milestones, communicate progress, and seek assistance when necessary.

• Interest in or initial experience working with technical clients, particularly at the mid-market or enterprise level.

• A team-oriented approach and eagerness to learn from more experienced colleagues.

• Nice to have: a background in development or hands-on coding experience.

• Nice to have: experience in a startup environment, especially in the developer tools sector.

• Nice to have: working knowledge of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude, Copilot, or Gemini.
