This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Kentucky, +2 more states.
• Act as a reliable technical consultant for customer technical leaders, architects, and decision-makers.
• Convert business and operational goals into technical specifications and cross-architecture solutions.
• Work alongside global and regional account teams to formulate sales strategies and recognize opportunities.
• Manage essential customer interactions.
• Oversee technical discovery, solution design, presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Highlight Cisco’s unique advantages and business value while developing competitive technical approaches.
• Coordinate with specialists, partners, and Customer Experience resources throughout the sales process.
• Advocate for customer needs within Cisco.
• Convey customer insights to product, engineering, services, and support teams.
• Maintain knowledge of Cisco technologies, especially in AI, IoT, Security, and Splunk.
• Leverage industry trends, competitive intelligence, and AI-enabled tools to offer customer recommendations.
• Achieve technical victories and support sustainable account development.
• Over 5 years of experience in solutions engineering, pre-sales engineering, technical consulting, or a similar customer-facing technology position.
• Proven experience in designing and positioning enterprise solutions across various technology domains, including Enterprise Networking, IoT, Security, Splunk, AI, Data Center, Cloud, Automation, and Collaboration.
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical discovery, solution design presentations, demonstrations, workshops, or proof-of-concept activities for enterprise clients.
• Skilled in translating customer business goals into technical strategies and engaging with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel within the Americas and participate in global customer or team meetings across different time zones.
• Preferred qualifications include Cisco certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or an equivalent industry-recognized technical certification.
• A BS/BA (EE/CS) or a related field, or comparable practical experience, is preferred.
• Technical proficiency in Security and IoT solutions within complex enterprise settings.
• Experience supporting large automotive, manufacturing, or similarly intricate customer environments.
• Ability to articulate complex technical concepts as clear business outcomes.
