This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut, +2 more states.
• Act as a reliable advisor and partner to leading enterprise organizations
• Participate as a member of a customer Account Team in a pre-sales technical capacity
• Demonstrate Cisco product solutions, set up demonstrations, and articulate features and advantages to clients
• Design and configure products tailored to meet the specific requirements of customers
• Align Cisco services, solutions, and architectures with the challenges and priorities of customers
• Ensure that Cisco's architectural vision addresses the desired outcomes and capabilities of customers
• Access Cisco technologies and applications within the financial services sector
• Collaborate with Account Managers, Technical Architects, and other Solutions Engineers
• Present solutions and assist in the development of architectures customized for the largest global customers
• Provide solution and architectural insights across the Cisco product portfolio
• Utilize technical specialization for specific opportunities
• Serve as a consultative technical advisor to account teams and customers
• Stay informed about competitors' solutions, products, and services
• Assist in formal sales strategies and proposals for designated opportunities
• Deliver and support technical presentations and solution demonstrations
• Illustrate the business relevance of developed solutions
• Foster consultative customer relationships and develop solutions focused on customer needs
• Over 5 years of relevant experience in technical sales, pre-sales, or client-facing consulting roles
• Experience with Cisco products or significant experience with key competitor offerings
• Proven pre-sales experience in converting technical solutions into business value
• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience
• Professional certifications like CCIE or CCNP are highly preferred
• Familiarity with baseline SE/SA skills and in-depth expertise in at least one adjacent technology: Data Center, Collaboration, Security, or Route/Switch/Wireless
• Understanding of Cisco solutions, competitors, and related IT market technologies
• Exceptional technical consulting abilities, including defining trade-offs, asking insightful questions, and integrating Cisco solutions into broader technology environments
• Strong business insight
• Knowledgeable about AI infrastructure and IT use cases
• Robust understanding of Cisco technologies such as switching, wireless, routing, data centers, and security
• Excellent presentation, communication, and technical consulting abilities
• Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new trends
• Candidates must reside in the New England Area
• Willingness to travel regularly to customers based in New England/Northeast
