Solutions Architect – MENA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical discovery process, demonstrations, and validation to showcase how GitLab's AI-driven DevSecOps platform satisfies the technical and business requirements of customers throughout the entire lifecycle.

• Oversee the technical evaluation process as the primary responsible individual, encompassing solution design, ownership of POC/POV, workshop design, and the technical aspects of tenders, audits, and value stream assessments.

• Collaborate with Account Executives and regional sales teams across MENA to develop and implement account strategies that facilitate new customer acquisition and growth.

• Establish and strengthen relationships with technical practitioners and business leaders, guiding them through GitLab-led transformations and empowering them to become advocates for GitLab.

• Provide expert guidance to customers on modern software development, continuous integration, continuous deployment, security, and cloud practices, challenging conventional approaches to enhance return on investment.

• Act as the voice of the customer with Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing by offering feedback, use cases, and competitive insights that shape the roadmap and positioning.

• Continuously enhance and expand your technical knowledge in GitLab, DevSecOps, AI, and related cloud technologies, creating reusable examples, best practice guidance, and technical resources for customers and partners.

• Commit to your own professional growth and development through ongoing learning, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to continually elevate the effectiveness of the Solutions Architect team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience interacting with customers in technical pre-sales, consulting, or similar roles, guiding them through solution design and evaluation.

• Expertise in the complete software development lifecycle, including modern DevSecOps methodologies and continuous integration and continuous deployment workflows.

• Practical experience with GitLab or similar source control, CI/CD, and collaboration platforms, coupled with the ability to align platform capabilities with customer use cases.

• Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts and associated technologies, capable of discussing deployment, security, and operational options with technical teams.

• Proven ability to lead technical evaluations such as proofs of concept or proofs of value, contribute to tenders or audits, and design and facilitate workshops or value stream assessments.

• Strong technical communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to tailor messages for audiences ranging from practitioners to senior business and technical decision-makers.

• Proficient in building trusted relationships, listening with empathy, and serving as a customer advocate to internal teams including Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing.

• Passionate about continuous professional development, including learning new technologies, enhancing GitLab platform expertise, and applying transferable skills from related fields.
