This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Take ownership of the comprehensive technical strategy for accounts, from initial discovery to production deployment and consumption enhancement.
• Lead intricate architecture conversations and design scalable, production-quality solutions that encompass data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Act as a reliable technical advisor to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
• Secure technical victories in competitive situations by creating custom solutions that showcase Databricks' unique offerings.
• Cultivate and announce a new technical specialization, becoming a key resource for the team.
• Coordinate cross-functional resources, including DSAs, SSAs, and Partners.
• Shape product direction by providing structured feedback on customer needs and identifying competitive gaps.
• Over 6 years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical position.
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, including live coding, debugging, and solution development.
• Extensive knowledge in distributed data systems architecture, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Proficient in the Databricks Platform or the ability to quickly gain proficiency.
• Developing technical expertise in a specific area such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.
• Capability to lead architecture discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analyses.
• Experience with production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, covering infrastructure, security, and governance.
• Proven track record of promoting platform adoption and increasing consumption within accounts.
• Excellent communication skills for conveying complex architectures into business value.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Databricks certifications are a plus.
• Familiarity with Snowflake, AWS native services, or Azure Synapse is desirable.
• Experience in a data/AI company or cloud provider is advantageous.
• Domain expertise in the industry is a plus.
