This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Take ownership of the complete technical strategy for accounts, spanning from initial discovery to production deployment and subsequent growth in usage.
• Facilitate intricate architectural conversations and design robust, production-ready solutions across data engineering, ML/AI, and real-time analytics.
• Act as a reliable technical consultant to customer architects, engineering leads, and Directors.
• Achieve technical victories in competitive environments by creating tailored solutions that highlight Databricks’ unique advantages.
• Establish and announce a developing technical specialization, becoming a primary resource for the team.
• Coordinate with DSAs, SSAs, and Partners to provide comprehensive solutions that address complex customer requirements.
• Shape product direction through organized feedback on customer needs and competitive deficiencies.
• Over 6 years of experience in solutions architecture, data engineering, technical pre-sales, or a senior hands-on technical position.
• Strong coding skills in Python and SQL, which include live coding, debugging, and building solutions.
• Profound knowledge in distributed data systems architecture, scalable pipelines, streaming architectures, lakehouse patterns, and cloud-native data platforms.
• Familiarity with the Databricks Platform or a demonstrated capacity to quickly gain proficiency.
• Developing expertise in a specific area, such as real-time/streaming, ML/AI, data governance, or migrations.
• Capability to lead architectural discussions with senior technical stakeholders, including whiteboarding, design reviews, and trade-off analyses.
• Experience in managing production deployments on AWS, Azure, or GCP, encompassing infrastructure, security, and governance considerations.
• Proven history of driving platform adoption and increasing consumption within accounts.
• Exceptional communication skills for articulating complex architectures into business value for both technical and executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative field, or equivalent professional experience.
