This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor for prospects, customers, and partners throughout the sales process.
• Collaborate with the Territory Manager to formulate account strategies, advance opportunities, and eliminate technical obstacles to purchasing.
• Lead the technical exploration of customer infrastructure, workloads, operational models, commercial priorities, and decision-making criteria.
• Design and present solution architectures leveraging Virtuozzo’s cloud infrastructure platform.
• Convert customer requirements into technical solutions and articulate their operational and commercial benefits.
• Conduct product demonstrations, technical presentations, workshops, trials, and proof-of-concept engagements.
• Interact with stakeholders ranging from infrastructure engineers and architects to CTOs and business executives.
• Address requests for information (RFIs), proposals (RFPs), and quotes (RFQs).
• Tackle technical inquiries related to architecture, deployment, integration, performance, security, scalability, and migration.
• Work alongside Product Management, Engineering, Support, and Professional Services to validate solutions and convey customer requirements.
• Provide feedback from customers and the market for product positioning and roadmap discussions.
• Aid in the transition of successful opportunities to implementation, onboarding, and customer support teams.
• Contribute to the creation of technical sales documents, reference architectures, competitive materials, and internal training resources.
• Keep abreast of Virtuozzo products, the competitive landscape, and advancements in cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Extensive experience in sales engineering, pre-sales consulting, solution architecture, or a similar customer-facing technical position.
• Proven experience in supporting complex B2B software or infrastructure sales processes.
• Strong understanding of virtualization, cloud infrastructure, storage, networking, Linux, or related infrastructure technologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of contemporary infrastructure architectures, deployment models, configurations, integrations, and performance considerations.
• Experience in leading technical discovery, solution design, demonstrations, workshops, trials, or proof-of-concept initiatives.
• Ability to translate business and operational needs into viable technical solutions and communicate complex technology in clear commercial terms.
• Exceptional consulting, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence in engaging technical specialists and senior decision-makers.
• A customer-centric and commercially aware mindset.
• Capacity to work independently while ensuring alignment with the Territory Manager and the broader sales team.
• Proficient in English.
• Professional fluency in French or German is a plus, though not required.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience with cloud service providers, managed service providers, hosting companies, telecommunications firms, or infrastructure software vendors is a plus.
• Knowledge of private, hybrid, sovereign, or multi-tenant cloud environments is advantageous.
• Familiarity with KVM, VMware, OpenStack, Kubernetes, software-defined storage, and infrastructure automation is beneficial.
• Experience in channel, partner-led, or service-provider go-to-market strategies is advantageous.
• Background in customer onboarding or technical project coordination is a plus.
• A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field is beneficial.
