Lead Intelligent Solutions Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and manage AI prompts, prompt libraries, LLM-based agents, copilots, chatbots, automation scripts, and comprehensive intelligent workflows.

• Spearhead rapid prototyping and experimentation, transforming successful pilots into scalable, production-quality solutions.

• Oversee the daily technical health of deployed solutions through monitoring, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and reliability enhancements.

• Develop and sustain integrations with enterprise platforms utilizing APIs, services, data pipelines, and workflow orchestration tools.

• Act as the end-to-end AI solution architect, making hands-on architectural decisions.

• Define and standardize agent architectures, integration and data flows, as well as development/testing/production deployment strategies.

• Manage delivery planning, value metrics, success criteria, and timelines.

• Identify technical risks, trade-offs, and dependencies, facilitating their resolution.

• Lead impactful enterprise AI and automation use cases.

• Transform vaguely defined business challenges into robust, production-ready AI solutions.

• Create solutions for case intake, triage, summarization, decision support, intelligent document processing, workflow automation, and embedded AI assistants.

• Collaborate with business owners to validate outputs, refine logic, and operationalize adoption.

• Ensure adherence to enterprise AI governance standards, ethical AI principles, and corporate policies.

• Design secure-by-default solutions with appropriate documentation, traceability, monitoring, and audit preparedness.

• Mitigate risks related to data privacy, access control, model behavior, hallucinations, bias, and operational resilience.

• Collaborate with architecture, security, and data governance teams to ensure compliant solution design.

• Advocate for AI and intelligent automation capabilities throughout the organization.

• Produce technical documentation, user manuals, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Conduct enablement sessions, workshops, and knowledge transfer activities.

• Mentor and influence standards, patterns, and best practices across AI and automation projects.

• Work with business and technology partners to enhance AI-driven workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree is mandatory.

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in machine learning is required.

• Preference for candidates with experience in healthcare, life sciences, or clinical research domains.

• Prior experience delivering solutions in regulated, compliance-focused environments is preferred.

• Proven track record in delivering complex, production-grade AI and automation solutions as a hands-on developer.

• In-depth expertise in prompt engineering and the application of Generative AI within enterprise workflows.

• Strong programming abilities, particularly in Python and/or JavaScript.

• Familiarity with APIs, data transformation, version control, and deployment practices.

• Demonstrated experience in building agent-based AI solutions, including RAG architectures, orchestration frameworks, and tool-calling patterns.

• Experience with Microsoft AI ecosystem tools, such as Copilot Studio, Power Platform, Azure AI, or Azure OpenAI, is strongly preferred.

• Capability to rapidly prototype while ensuring enterprise-grade security, reliability, and governance.

• Proven ability to function as a senior, end-to-end AI solution architect while remaining actively involved.

• Comfortable managing ambiguous, high-visibility initiatives with minimal guidance.

• Strong stakeholder influence skills in a matrixed environment.

• A record of translating concepts into deployed, widely adopted enterprise solutions.

• Ability to operate at strategic, architectural, and engineering levels simultaneously.

• Capacity to drive change and foster adoption across teams.

• Ability to prioritize, execute, and deliver results under evolving requirements.
