This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Manage a caseload of intricate claims
• Deliver prompt, insightful, commercially aware, and sensitively crafted advice to clients
• Participate in conferences and trials
• Prepare witnesses for testimony
• Organize and oversee the disclosure of sensitive documents
• Draft legal documents for the Court
• Attend Trials and Applications alongside Counsel
• Participate in Inquests and provide guidance to clients regarding the Coronial process
• Assist Team Partners with complex, high-profile cases
• Meet a minimum target of 1,440 chargeable hours annually
• Contribute to marketing and business development efforts within the team
• Take responsibility for quality assurance and compliance with benchmarks
• Accurately prepare management information in a timely manner
• Enhance and maintain technical knowledge through online learning, training sessions, seminars, and relevant publications
• Manage confidential information in accordance with data security protocols
• Collaborate effectively with the team
• Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with 3-8 years of post-qualification experience (PQE)
• Experience in litigation
• Strong interest in Specialist Liability work
• Capability to manage high-value and sensitive cases
• Proficiency in analyzing legally and factually complex cases and extracting pertinent evidence and data
• Ability to work both flexibly and collaboratively, as well as independently
• Competence to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
• Capacity to work at a rapid pace in intellectually stimulating environments
• Dedication to providing exceptional client service
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work for prominent clients
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining strong client relationships
• Understanding and empathy for public-sector clients
• Awareness of commercial and industry trends
• Experience managing fast-paced child abuse and social care claims is preferred
• Familiarity with attending Inquests and advising on the coronial process is preferred
• Demonstrated experience of consistently delivering outstanding client service is preferred
• Expertise in Inquests is highly desirable
• A clean driving license is highly desirable
• Experience in advising on alleged breaches of the Human Rights Act is highly desirable
